Privacy policy

Who we are. Electricians in Benoni (electricians-benoni.co.za) is operated by AP Collective (Pty) Ltd (trading as Benoni Pros), the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Business listings. We list business names, descriptions and website links that businesses have published publicly. We don't publish personal email addresses or phone numbers for unverified listings. A business can correct or remove its listing at any time via the business page.

Information you send us. If you submit a form, we use your details only to handle that request (for example, verifying a listing claim or processing a removal). We don't sell your information.

Quote requests. If you ask for quotes, we store your request and contact details, email you a shortlist, and, if you tick the box, send your request and contact details to up to 3 businesses that have verified their listing and agreed to our terms. Those businesses may contact you about that job only. Ask us at any time to delete your request.

Reviews. If you review a business, we publish your rating, review, first name and surname initial. We use your email address only to confirm the review and never publish it. The business is told about your review and may report it if it believes it isn't from a genuine customer.

Website visits. When you click through to a business website we record the click (listing, time and a non-identifying hash of your IP address) so we can report anonymous referral totals to the business. We don't use advertising cookies.

Visitor statistics. We count page views without cookies. A visitor is counted using a one-way code made from the IP address, browser and date, which changes every day, so we can't recognise or follow you between days. We publish only totals on our site stats page.

Business accounts and payments. If you claim a listing we store your email address and the details you publish. Card payments for paid plans are processed by Yoco; we never see or store card numbers.

Your rights. You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, and you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. Contact: hello@electricians-benoni.co.za.
